Got other projects?

All of us boat owners have a project. HA! We all know about keeping after things or even total rebuilds. Who's got other projects (sail or non-sail related) going on besides their boat.

I'm 6 years into a total resto of a '56 Ford panel truck. It didn't start out as a total resto, but here I am, 6 looong years later, and paint is starting to go back on the body. It just kinda snowballed into a huge project.

Her name is Minty and she started out looking like this.

Wasn't really that bad looking and I should have just kept her going as is. But, no, I just had to start "improving" her. My plan is to keep her "period" and am building a late 50's/early 60's hot rod. The engine is built and in the frame, just waiting for the body to be done.

Paint is going back on the body.

We've got the firewall and the dash done. Also all the doors and fenders are painted. We have the main body and then the hood to go before the body is ready for the frame.

Anyone else got themselves buried in projects???

I built this as a Christmas gift, and now have orders for a half dozen more. Everybody needs more shelves, apparently.

The seafoam green looks great on your panel truck. I'm working, though rather slowly , on a '46 Willy's CJ2-A that was a gift from a client whose Ford Woody stationwagon I restored. My wife often jokes that I'll probably have it in the water before some of my boat projects. [I already tried to float my LandRover down a creek and needed another Rover, a tractor, and a tree with a winch to retrieve it !]

I also have a '74 VW Thing. It's more of a driver than a project. I'd like to weld some new floor pans in it though.

I have a 1981 DeLorean that I restored and then drove to the point that it needs another "freshening up".

I just mounted a fresh rear tire on my '02 Yamaha Warrior 1700, and I'm swapping the chrome for blacked out parts.

That's more than enough to keep me occupied.

I'm a car guy so I always have something going on. Currently fixing this old 245. Got it for a good price, once the the weather turns she'll be gone...

Here's my other girl, 90 Corrado VR6. Pretty much a basket case, but it'll back on the road by mid summer or sold...
