PBZeer's joke thread

PB, I enjoy reading your posts. You always have a well thought out argument, your opinions are intelligent, and come hell or high water you stand behind your convictions. But, no humour. None. No smilies, No ROTFLMAO, nuthin'. Okay, occasional glimmers of dry snide sarcasm directed at those you view to be your intellectual inferiors, but for the most part you give the impression of one who is seriously unfun. C'm on dude, show us the softer side of PBZeer!

Tell a joke. Not a political joke, or a jab at liberals, just a good old fashion belly buster, or knee slapper, or even a pun. Something.

I dare you.

In fact, I double -dog dare you.

Who else is with me?

I'd lay five bucks (Australian) that he's probably great with puns and limericks.

Of course, with the double-dog dare, I don't think you've left any wiggle room at all for an honorable man.

It's show time.

If I wanted to make you laugh, I'd post in the Joke thread, not politics. And for the record, I don't consider anyone my intellectual inferior, though I may and often do, wonder about their sense of perspective.

And no smacky, I don't do limericks, though I have been accused of the bad pun or two. I'm more inclined to the spontaneous one-liner.

I'm with you on the one-liners PB. Although I have to look each one of mine up on howtobefunny.com.

To bad puns and bad perspective!

you mean, like,

There was an old cruiser named Ray,
brushed his teeth in a very odd way.
He tried gunpowder
to help him speak louder,
but just shot his mouth off all day...

Groooooaaann.

Ok, here's my absolute personal favorite:

There was a young man from Japan,
Whose lymerics no one could stand.
When asked about it,
He said "I don't doubt it."
I like to put as many syllables in the last line as I possibly can.

Regards,
Brad

There was a techie from the coast
At Sailnet he did love to post
Working all day
funding time to make way
eating windlass rebuilds at breakfast, not toast.

Stillraining is a jewel in the rough Stillraining is a jewel in the rough Stillraining is a jewel in the rough
I tried to start a Bar tab fund for John a couple years ago on his maiden voyage up the East coat..where at each port of call someone would have in the waiting a small pre-paid tab of good cheer awaiting him...

It was a flop so y'all can only blame yourselves...

Hope ya got a laugh or two out of my contribution John..

Carry on!

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.
