I'm working for, like, one day and I come back to see someone added to the "Book of The Banned"?

I would like to propose this thread as a place where we can ask the ever important question when such an event takes place...

The mods need to use the Banstick when a poster just doesn't get it, or simply does not agree with the mods.

Having been banned, kicked out, deleted and had my account taken over in various forums and sometimes it can seem unfair.

Though the time I got kicked out of a forum because I corrected, then embarrassed one of the posters with a link to the correct answer (only after he defended himself using the ad hominine argument) seemed very unfair. But he was a mod and I guess sensitive, still unfair. Particularly since it was over a simple math error but other posters laughed at him so I was gone, didn’t even get a note saying why. But hey it is their forum and thats the bottom line.

I doubt that happens here but it does help if it is explained.

I don't see that happening here. These guys are refreshingly fair. That's why I'm curious about this one.

Of course, it's none of my business. Which is exactly why I'm asking.

Some of us posters have completely different ideas of what is acceptable, not wrong just different. Which is what I meant by not agreeing with the mods, they have final say, which might not feel fair but is and there are always other forums.

True.

As for me...this is easily my favorite forum. So I try to stay on the right side of acceptable. Yeah, maybe I kick up a bit of chalk now and then, but still the right side. Barely.

If you're referring to lporcano, I would guess it was for posting personal info, which is pretty much a banning offense on any forum.
