Grattitude thread

So here is my thought. There are about eighty billion threads about what is wrong in the world. How about one talking about what is going right. We all have things that we are grateful for or should be grateful for. This would be the thread to share those things you are grateful for. I will kick it off.

I am grateful that winter is past, that spring is here, that I have one more year with my health and my boat, and that I will be sailing soon.

Ok, who is up next?

I'm grateful for having a great wife, great kids, a sailboat, and a roof over our heads.

And I'm grateful for this whacky place. SN rocks.

Nice thread SW.

This is my first post here after learking around several days and would just like to say,GREAT SITE! Really helps with my retirement plans.
Now,about that gratitude theme. All winter long I've looked out the sliding door by the couch at my humble Hobie 16,anticipating,and Spring is finally upon us.Dug everything out last weekend, getting started on some hull repairs tomorrow morning.
I've two great kids,a decent job,and a home by Currituck Sound for which I am immensely grateful, and that little old boat really keeps all of the above in perspective.Sailing has become my "hydro-therapy" and I so look forward to my next session.Happy Easter everyone,David

I have a pulse, I am ambulatory, the boats are paid for, I have heat, light, a roof over my head that doesn't leak, hot and cold water and a toilet indoors , dogs that love me, a cat that tolerates me, kids that make me proud even when i embarass them, and a wife who, to the best of my knowledge, is not looking to take advantage of the fact that i am worth more dead than alive.
And there is beer in the fridge and Pusser's in the cupboard.

I am grateful my boat partially sunk...that the insurance company made me pull it out of the water...that the yard has ignored me for the most part catering to their mega rich clientele and grateful that they dropped my mast damaging my boat further costing more delays, negotiations and lost sailing time.

As I haven't had to pay slip fees in 14 months...

Good thread....I feel better..

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.

I am grateful for this pitiful economy. It is actually forcing me to sail. Other wise I would be sucking in muffler dust. Instead of the dust from my teak rails. Maybe I should paint CALIFORNIA OR BUST on the sides of the boat?. .......i2f

I'm greateful for everything and everybody! I'm happy to argue religon and politics plus talk about sailing with all of you (this is a great site.)

I'm greateful for friends and family and a job I love.

I'm greateful that friends and family have supported, even encouraged, my life-long passion for motorcycles. And, so greateful for the places those motorcycles have taken me and the people I've met on the road (and off.)

Life is good.
