Just curious, do you have some insight that proves APPLE did instigate the issuance of the warrant or otherwise influence the actions of the police in this case. If not, shuddup... if so, put 'em on the table.
I'd point out that I don't own an iPhone, and don't own an iPad...don't plan on buying either any time soon either. The reason I use and support Macs is that they do not have the huge security issues that Windows-based PCs have. I work with Windows-based PCs and servers and have to deal with those problems on a day-to-day basis, so I'd rather not saddle myself with them when not at work.
Again, the California law is pretty clear on this subject. The iPhone prototype was clearly stolen property once the anonymous seller decided to profit on it rather than returning it to Gray or Apple. Gawker Media/Gizmodo clearly knew that and their statement that they didn't know it was stolen is bogus at best.

If it was a Microsoft product rather than an over-rated cumbersome piece of consumerism that was at the center of the controversy, you'd be happily pointing out that it was one more example of Bill Gates trying to control the world.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
