I've tried a couple of times over the past couple of days and consistently get an error

OK Herlihy...despite your penchant for Kiss videos I'll try and help you out here...

Site was up as of yesterday but appears not to be right now.

My guess is a temporary outage. Probably Chris tinkering with the server again. My money is on them being back on air in the next few hours or so.

Should the guys ever pull the plug on AS then they would of course be more than welcome to come back here but I'm afraid that as far as Alex is concerned that is simply not going to happen. Pity, but there you are.

edit...not that I see any reason why they would or should pull said plug. AS is a good site, good people in the main. I enjoy going there even though I don't post all that often.

As Andrew alluded to, we're back up. Mother nature decided to flex her muscles today and the servers were taken out by nearby lightning strikes.

Sorry for the inconvenience. This stuff always seems to happen when I'm at work and can't get to it remotely to fix it.

Herlihy....stop it. stop it right now or or or.....well I can't really ban you for execrable choice of music but I'd like to. Did you know that Nevil went on to produce Destiny's Child and Jessica Simpson ? Figures.

Now most importantly....Alex was never banned from SailNet. Just wanted to clear that up. He chose to leave us and most of us regret that he did so but he was not banned. Not temporarily nor permanently. Not ever.

Great song....maybe you are not a complete loss......I will not comment on the singer...the wombet already reckons I am fattist.....then laughs at my recent weight gains...life is cruel......

btw...to be absolutely clear.....my original post might also have given the idea that there is or was friction twixt Alex and me. Nothing could be further from the truth. We were, are and I hope will remain good friends.
