Honda 400F. Sweet bike that I fixed up and then it was stolen. They found it in the river a few months later. What a waste.

My first street bike was a '76 CB400F, Yellow tank. I put about 60,000 miles on that bike, then my wife put another 30,000; we sold it with 92,000 and it still ran great. What a shame yours was stolen. Clean examples are going for around $6000 now. I bought mine in 1977 with 1400 miles and paid $1200.

When my Yamaha 175dt was stolen, back in the 70's I needed a transport and I could not afford more than this one, a Portuguese 50cc bike. I bet you never heard about it I made many thousands of km with it.

Now it is a collector's piece and is worth a lot of money

Regards

Paulo

One of the better examples of what killed the British bike industry. Those big one lung BSA's would shake their fasteners and the fillings in your teeth loose at about the same rate.

Had a BSA 500 single, big rear sprocket for some reason .What a brute. My 650 rocket was a lot of fun.Cam ,carb and over bore made it a contender back in the day Built by Amour?? for hillclimb but too much . On the street a different story. Then I found the first of the Honda 750,s. Had much to learn but I'm still without major roadrash. Claim to fame;; First in B.C. fined for no helmet.Duh!
