Operation Aborted?

No, it's not a political/religious thread -- just wondering if anyone else has suddenly started receiving frequent and random "Operation Aborted" messages when moving from page to page in sailnet using IE 7 on XP Pro. Only cure seems to be to copy the url, close the browser window and paste the url into a new window. Dumping the cache doesn't seem to help. Veddy, veddy flustrating.

Somebody was just complaining about this on a completely different site.

My suggestion: Stop using IE. If for no other reason than it increases your security vulnerabilities as compared to other browsers, IMO. Suggest Firefox, Opera or Chrome. Anything but IE, just about, actually.

It appears to be an IE problem as I haven't been able reproduce it on my machine at home using Firefox. Not getting it on other sites, though. Maybe you could write an anonymous note to my system administrators about switching from IE so I don't have to explain why I'm on sailnet during office hours??

I'm afraid that if your SysAdmins are having you use IE on-purpose, there's nothing I, or anybody else, for that matter, can do for them
