It wasn't Dean Kamen, the Segway inventor who died. It was the guy who bought the company in 2009.

No that wouldn't unless he drove off a cliff. How did this guy not see the cliff coming and get off the segway? At the most he would have twisted an ankle. Strange indeed.
Maybe he couldn't undo his seatbelt. There should be a recall if he couldn't unlatch it.Remember to buckle up!

Except there's no seat, or seat belt, on a Segway. All you have to do is take one step "back" and you're off it. Or, flop sideways over one of the low wheels.

I'll bet he was texting on his Blackberry and this is another case of distracted driving.
