C'mon, jerry, you can use google as well as the rest of us, but you gotta wanna. You used to fly choppers, man- preflight your posts as well as you preflight your bird. What makes me shake my head in disgust at America today is that there is enough fodder for the "obama is incompetent and change ain't working" debate without having to invent stuff.... and yet, crackpot, unsourced, half-baked, fear-mongering is a growth industry. if America put half as much energy into entrepreneurial endeavour as it does in crafting "truther" mythology, this recession would have been over and maybe you all could start believing in yourselves again instead of living scared and looking for someone to blame. It's pitiful.
First clue that you may not be dealing with a source of reliable, objective information is the excessive use of inappropriate capital letters, as in Mainstream Media and Government.

BTW, regarding LOST, this ain't an Obama initiative- Bush sought to revive US involvement in it in 2007, by asking the senate to ratify the treaty, a treaty that the US had helped shape over the five decades it had been alive, from UNCLOS 1 in 1956 to today, but had never ratified.

I do not trust snopes but I do find it strange there is no denial there.

There is so mush crap flying, finger pointing, even if half is true, what are we doing just sitting here? Like I said before people we need to do research and vote with our morals and heads.

Look, he paraphrased a paragraph of the Declaration in a speech. That's it. That's all.

I'll warn you up front, you aren't gonna like this next part.
Jerry, Obama isn't destroying America- this petty devisiveness, this tinfoil hat hectoring, this half-baked, half-researched adolescent fulminating that flirts with treason... THAT is what is destroying America. The rest of the world is losing respect for America, and it isn't because of the man in the office, but because of the response to him.
Don't like what he's done? Join the club, but here's a radical idea-
Let democracy work.
Suck it up, act intelligent and mature and vote him out in two more years based on his disappointing record and solve the problem. Taking the calm, clinical reasoned intelligent approach shows democracy works in the greatest country on the planet, and that America is still standing united and confident that there is no threat, foreign or domestic that she cannot withstand. Instead, America now looks and feels weak, divided, vulnerable, pessimistic and the fallout from THAT will take a hell of a lot more than four years to mend.

So Jones, we are all imagining the way left of central leaning, the call for redistribution of wealth, the lack of enforcement of current laws -especially as regards immigration, voter intimidation, states rights, etc, etc, etc..

As long as there is money, corruption, bribery, buying of votes (health care), laws passed that no one has read or knows what they contain...

then democracy is at risk.

It is a big politics issue, has nothing to do with current or previous presidents, they are all the same...none are interested in individuals as they have no lobbyists, and are inconsistent in their beliefs and motives.

When EPA and DHS have more authority than the white house, and they answer to no one, are not elected, and have their own agenda...

Democracy is at risk, and until some real NEWS organization reports the facts, we are headed down a slippery slope of no return...and that is before you even get to the scary stuff...like peak oil was reached some years ago - what next, food grains taken for alternative fuels - what good is fuel if you can't afford to eat.....we continually dump raw sewage by the thousands of gallons in to our fresh water supply - are you going to drink this stuff...

Tell me Jones....WHAT has actually gotten better in the last 10-15 years?

Were it but as simple as to vote him out, when a large majority think he is doing a great thing. Sad part is that these people can not see beyond their next welfare check...and think a flat screen is the bomb.

I am with Jerry on this, and sadly we are in the minority...you all should read and learn your history...greater cultures/civilizations than ours has failed when the leaders no longer lead and power and money warped their view of things..
