Anyone contacted this company recently?

Has anyone purchased anything from, or had contact with the customer service department of this company recently?: SolarCharger.com - Solar chargers, panels, and accessories
and by recently I mean within the last month.

I tried to order something from their website and it seemed ok, I got an email from them saying my order has been received, but they never seemed to process the order. My CC was never charged, and merchandise never shipped. When I tried calling their toll free number, no one ever seems to answer. Is something going on with this company or is it just me?

It sure sounds like a scam. I would contact the bank and let them know what happened. Check to see if you have strange things going on with your account. Change your account number.

That brings you to a company that has been around for years, Sunsei. While I personally don't like the quality of their products, they are a legit company.

As someone who sells solar myself, I know there are major supply issues right now. It is highly likely that they are just on backorder, and they have poor customer service that doesn't keep you up to date. Most companies don't charge your card until items ship, which is why they haven't.

I personally don't think it's a scam, just poor management.

Thanks for the replies. I knew it wasn't a fake website. I don't think the customer service was always what it seems to be right now, and I was wondering if anyone had similar recent experience or additional insight.

I had a warranty issue with them last spring and after accepting the claim, said they would let me know when they would be shipping a replacement unit. After waiting a month with no replies I inquired again and was told of the supply issues and they would be in contact with me. Never heard back. Luckily it was a small unit and while it still functions I can not leave it out in the weather, I would suggest canceling the order and buy twice the panel on EBay

Go to Hamilton-Ferris....good prices, personal and knowledgeable service...

too many of the others just pass orders...have no inventory or knowledge and their B-I-L is doing the support...
