THE Mother of All Beer threads

This should be a short thread, however I know a whole bunch of you think your opinion on this subject means anything and even more of you have deluded yourselves into thinking you are right. But, we have to go through the exercise...

Alright, the Yankees and the Aussies are about to get all shirty about who makes better beer.
Newsflash, you AA rejects, but you're fighting over a title known as "Distant Second" aka "Thanks for playing, now go get your consolation prize"

Canada. Beer. End of discussion.

While I respect your opinion that this will be a short thread BL I have a sneaking suspicion you might be wrong (winter, no one is sailing, nothing better to do).
As I politely asked in the Oz thread - put up or shut up. I would respectfully ask what you might possibly have up there that you could use for bragging material? Perhaps we should limit this to non-can beer, although I realize that will severely limit the Canadian possibilities :-))

3 come to mind without having to think about it.

Anything from Sleemans
Moosehead.
Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale

Does old milwaukee sell beer in a bottle?

John

p.s Samuel Adams is the exception that proves the rule, I thought I would throw that out there as a preemptive strike.

This thread has payed for itself already, thanks for the suggestions of what to try next trip north. Thanks John.

We've got some great breweries here in Washington state. Pike Brewery makes a wicked good beer called Kiltlifter, as well as several others. Sierra Nevada which is a big brewery makes a killer IPA (which I just so happen to be enjoying at the moment). Alaskan makes some great seasonal ales and Redhook ESB from Seattle is one of my favorites.

Nelson Brewing

Alberta Beers

Big Rock Traditional, Honey Brown and Warthog (forget Grasshopper, a wheat beer)

Other Canadian

Pumphouse - New Brunswick

well real north of the boarder moosehead is good. but what i am sipping on is better. the only problem is it tastes like peaches, is colorless and will sneak up on ya, and it comes in mason jars with no label.
