Great shots. I have seen a lot of monochrome photos from this era. The Farm Service Administration did much to advance American photographers. Farm Security Administration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dorothea Lange is one of the best.



I also liked the work of Walker Evans.




The colour photos are a nice addition to those.

BTW - your tax dollars at work. We (Canadians had nothing like it.)

Thanks a million Jack, and you're right as usual. These are the kinds of things that the John Birchers do not get.

I just stumbled upon those pics one day, and they really spoke to me in a way I find hard to verbalize.
