This is how you do research? No wonder you believe in MMGW, socialism, etc.
Priority One in the making of this movie was to extend the producer's rights to the novel, which the movie did. In addition, this release has done well for an independent with its budget, lack of establishment support and political outlook. (That a work of literature with solid and ever-growing sales since it was published ~55 years ago can be ignored by Hollywood speaks volumes about the movie industry's biases.)
