Its not you,
Just checked out 133 new posts, no politics, and didn,t find anything that triggered my response impulse, not even for the craic.
Is there a lull in interesting threads during the sailing season?
Safe sailing.

It is us. For one thing in the US it is the July 4th weekend and Independence Day (from Britain) which is a pretty big deal over here, however co-opted it is these days by fireworks displays and such.
Many of us are just drinking, eating and with family about now so not so much web traffic on many forums.
Yes, there is a lull in postings overall during the sailing season I have observed for a few years running.
Slainte.

Go to youtube and search key words Darwin Australia, July 4th. I got into trouble (not really) As the only American in the company of 3 Canadians and 1 South African (all pilots) celebrating 4th of July. I am the one wearing bright orange shorts.
YouTube - 4th July Darwin

Caleb,
I see you've got your priorities in order:
1. Drinking
2. Eating
3. Family

Not necessarily in that order. That sequence happened to be alphabetic.
I forgot to include item #4 in that list: blowing up a small part of your own or your neighbor's back yard with fireworks.
Celebrate your country by blowing up a small part of it.

Given that SailNet is dominated by you septics its hardly surprising things go a bit quiet around about now.
Then in a couple of months you'll all be freezing your asses of and the place will be buzzing.
Enjoy the summer, sunshine and sailing it while you can.
and have a bang up weekend.

If Only tdw.
Not really a skeptic, just back in work after a 3 week washout and bored with the wet weather here since end of May, with no let up in sight .
Don,t mind a bit of wind but going out on my day off knowing its going to lash ain,t very enticing.
Was hoping to sail vicariously through the exploits of others but the selfish b.....ds must be too busy out enjoying themselves to post.
Safe sailing, you lucky feckers.

Flights are cheap. Get on a plane over here on a Friday morning and we'll send you home tanned, windburned and hungover Sunday evening, just in time for work on Monday.
