Regardless of my opinion of their 'Point', if at any time you take it upon yourself to ram another vessel you should consider it an act of war and be willing to suffer whatever may befall you.
You shouldn't be allowed to endanger another crew, then expect to be rescued by them when your own stupidity overwhelms your luck.

Made my day, thanks for posting. Protecting endangered whales and other sea life is a noble cause that I wholeheartedly support, but there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Sea Shepherd has chosen the wrong way IMO.

Yeah. As a strong supporter both of saving whales from extinction and for Japan to live up to the obligations it signed up to, I am a favour of the cause he was fighting for... but not the method in which it was done.
His ramming is no better than the ramming of the Ady Gil by the Japanese fleet. I treat both of those actions with contempt.

I've watched many videos on the ramming of the Ady Gil, and for me the jury is still out. It's hard to say if the AG gave a little throttle bump, or if the other vessel suddenly altered course.
I'm still inclined to believe that it was the fault of the captain of the AG simply because it is a much smaller vessel that could have altered speed and direction quickly enough to play a very long game of cat and mouse with the much larger whaler, while the wake and churn from the whaler didn't really show a drastic course alteration that I could find.

Unfortunately, the right way has proven to accomplish very little. In contrast, as far as I know, Iceland no longer hunts since the Sea Shepard society sank their fleet in harbour.

Well, that wasn't the right way either and I think it was Green Peace that sunk the ship(s)
When you watch this bafoon, the money pissed away and the lives he puts at risk, one questions his sanity

Sloop- I've never been a big fan of rationalizing ones actions based on a biased perception of a positive outcome.

Believe me, I'm no fan of terrorists but Watson has always carefully targeted his actions and he takes the same risks as the other volunteers on board his boats. He's never done anything like the French killing the Greenpeace guy in New Zealand when they blew up the Rainbow Warrior.
