Annapolis - I'm getting REAL excited

Having lived my entire sailing life on the west coast, I'm used to boat shows with rows of Catalinas, Beneteaus, Hunters, Jeauneau (sp) and maybe an occasional Island Packet or the like. I decided to make the trek to Annapolis this year in the hopes of seeing the European & east coast boats that I've only seen in magazines so far. Well, the most recent issue of Sail magazine has me real excited. Ad after ad, for boats like Bavaria, Halberg Rassey, Hanse, etc have a little sign in their ad....."See Us In Annapolis". YES! This is gonna be FUN!

OK, I'll calm down now.

Mike

There's Lots to be excited about, but I wouldn't get too worked up over the Bavarias and the Hanse...

There's a 545 in my yard now that's getting put together. That big trap door/swim platform is controlled by nothing more than block and tackle..that you have to climb down into the well to operate..

There's usually a nice Oyster well worth boarding.

The highlight of my trip to Annapolis was getting to see an Outbound 44, back in '07.

You mean, the highlight of your trip isn't the annual SailNet gathering on Friday night?

Shameless self-promotion - my blog for the Annapolis Capital newspaper is moving to a new location:

Also, the Jalepino hot dogs and the Nutty Buddy Ice cream cone..

I like wandering through the tents....I usually go on a few boats that catch my eye...
