Steve Jobs has died.

Many of us use iProducts for sailing applications (GPS etc.) and communicating with other sailors.
RIP Mr. Jobs

Not a big fan of the business practices, but we've truly lost a great innovator, hard to deny that! Pancriatic cancer is a brutal disease.

May he rest in piece. His legacy, his mark on the technology world, will long live I am quite sure.

Steve Jobs will be missed, a life gone too soon for all of us - in my life as a sailor, father, photographer, journalist, geek in awe of it all, he will be missed.

A loss to the design world, engineering world, and and the world in general. A visionary.

I'm typing this on a Mac Mini, with my AppleTV2 (and 1G AppleTV that's in the closet) across the room, an iPod Nano in front of me ready to be sold on eBay, my daughter is playing her iPod Touch, my wife has hers, and my iPhone is in my briefcase with my Macbook Pro. Oh, and my daughter just discovered AirPlay.... the man touched our lives......

Minnewaska will become famous soon enough
For a second, I wondered what relevance the subject line had to being sailing related. Then I quickly realized how my iPad is clearly the single greatest leap forward in marine technology I've ever experienced in over 30 years on the water. All other technologies crept in slowly, with primitive versions leading the way. My iPad quickly became a marine library, navigation tool, float planner, weather station, onboard entertainment and communication device overnight. The most amazing attribute that separates it from all other technologies....... I've never to this day had to read an instruction manual to now how to use it. Amazing.

SJ left his mark. God bless.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

InnovatorX10. I agree with everything mentioned above especially Minnewaska about the IPad2.
