Just back from Gibson's Landing where we had a Thanksgiving gathering with our club.. a dozen boats took part, rented a hall and had a terrific pot luck Turkey dinner with all the trimmings..
A light run down in a spotty easterly on Saturday, an amazing beachcombing Sunday warm enough that I wore shorts and a tshirt (mid October!!) and today an interesting sail in a combination of Howe Sound outflow winds to 18 knots or so, and an easterly to 15 for a really nice beat home, aside from a heavy rain squall that came through about 6 miles out... the Vancouver skyline disappeared, as did most of the freighters in the bay for a half hour or so..
Got a little(OK, a lot) wet but sailed the distance and didn't give up much to those that chose to motor! Gotta like that!!
