Forget the Health care...

And the economy, and the crime rate, and the scenery. THIS is the best thing about Canada:
Best. Donut. Ever.

Dock Six Chronicles: No-Burner Tastiness: Best. Donut. Ever.

Let me get this right .... we are talking about a bacon and maple syrup iced donut here ?

Man, that is seriously weird.

I know you Americans (USA and Canada) like your pancakes with maple syrup and quite frankly that is bad enough but a DONUT ?

Jesus H Tap Dancing Christ Jones, that is seriously weird.

Its eating a meat pie upturned in a bowl of gravy and mushy peas weird. . So yes I acknowledge we all have our blind spots.

Not hard to see why - it sure repels ME.

Tim's donuts are sure better than Krispy Creme - those things are sickening they are so sweet. When they showed up here amidst all the hooplah, I couldn't wait to try them - HUGE disappointment.

Trust me - that thing at Tim's ain't even in the running for best in Canada. It's more like the Canadian version of that bacon, cheese, chicken "sandwich" where the chicken was the bread, that KFC was selling.

WHAAAAT? Have you ever had them? It is one of the truly great comfort foods of the world - on par with macaroni & cheese.

Coming from a country that gave the world vegemite sandwiches and Fosters , you forever lost your right to call ANY food weird.
jrd22 and PaulfromNWOnt like this.

You guys are too urban for me. Since the government won't give us cake I'm relying on sea food. Hunter/gather style. A sudden thought,,, what if your favourite foods are part of a plot(conspiracy) to sedate yawl into sugerrush obesity so that you don't start building guillotines and effect social change.

Yes Sloop of course I have had them . Jaysus man i'm Australian ... we travel.

Look, I know the vegemite thing is hard to get your mind around. I accept that, I really do. The Fosters jibe is unfair though. I don't know a single Australian who will drink the muck, most of it is brewed in either America or the UK and none of the pubs in my part of the world even sell the stuff. That said .... ahem ... Buddweiser .... .. I win you lose nyah nyah nyah ...

Really it is the mix of things like Jonesy's donuts and your pancakes that give me indigestion. I don't mind donuts , I don't mind pancakes, maple syrup is fine and dandy, bacon when real bacon is my kind of dead pig, but altogether on the same plate ? Come on. That is simply not the action of a civilised society.

Fluck a whole buncha civilized. I'll roll like a barbarian any day of the week.
Bacon makes everything better. I'd eat Rosanne Barr if she was holding bacon.

errr, that may, or may not, have come out right.

At this years PNE (Vancouver's "county fair") they were selling deep fried BUTTER.. I can only surmise it is some sort of redneck Baked Alaska to be eaten after a meal of corn dogs.
