Throat Cancer

Today I start therapy for throat cancer which will involve 35 rounds of radiation and 3 rounds of chemo at the beginning middle and end of the radiation. Prognosis is good and I remain optomistic that I will be fine. For those so inclined a prayer would be appreciated and for the others just wish me luck so that I can be back in January to be a thorn in your sides once again.
Ed

ed

best of luck, just don't plan on getting to far from a bucket the day after the chemo. I found that popsicles and yogurt did more to settle things for me than anything else.

Radiation not such a biggie, one of our local hospitals has a billboard that if you are in by 9am, you can be golfing/sailing/fishing with the kids or grandkids by lunch...

Thoughts and prayers for you for sure

May everything go as smoothly as possible so that you are out sailing asap.

Keep the good thoughts, Ed... it's amazing what can be done/cured these days with quick response and aggressive treatments. My wife is 2 yrs cancer free after early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer... It's a scary time but a positive attitude (and good doctors) will go a long way.

Best of luck.. and surely hospitals have wifi now?? Don't be a stranger.

Ed, sorry to hear this. Prayers have been sent.
We just lost a good friend last week from cancer. Though he outlived the prognosis by years.

Build up you Chi energy. Smile from the heart. Give your body the best chance to heal itself.

And Faster is right. Surely you can keep in touch through this. You're one of my favorite thorns.
