Michael Douglas apparently had a point in "Falling Down" when he made the same comparison at "Uzi-point". Smack? Your opinion?

Imagine how fat society would be if the fast food really WAS as big as it looks in the ads.

Is anyone here old enough to remember when advertising merely put things in the best possible light - sold the sizzle, not the steak?

When did it turn to out & out lies? The 70's?

I seem to remember that Cambell's got in trouble for showing lovely rich paint in their ads. That had to be in the 1960s.

If some of the psychos who shoot the customers in McDonalds and elsewhere acted more like Douglas, they might make an improvement in society.

Yeesss! Dog food tacos with LOTS of their hot sauce! Tasty snack indeed...

I have no false pretenses about fast food anymore. We now do detox regimens every couple months to "clean" and reset our bodies. Then do it all over again...
