Calling All North American Spirit 23 Owners

Hi all. I purchased a 1977 Spirit 23 this week and will be sailing her down to my marine on Sunday.

I am excited! Will be berthed at the Bremerton Marina in Washington state. Anyone else around these parts? windyway it sounds like you may be in the Seattle area?

Well my boat is moored in Blaine WA. Not too far away. Where did you buy her from? What's the hull # ? These are GREAT boats. You'll love her soon!

Just purchases a Na 23. It look a disaster. The hull is sound but the interior is trashed due to it being on the trailer for the last 10 years. One question is where does the winch for the centerboard mount at. I have sen pics of a salable boat and hope to refit this boat by the end of the summer for a lake trial.

Now if anyone can tell me where the centerboard winch mount at.

It depends on the year of the boat the 2 last numbers of the hull is the year. Early winches were in the cabin on the port side berth, later ones where in the cockpit forward port side of seat, near the companionway.

Does anyone with a NA 23 know what the diameter & length of the larger (I believe rear?) stainless pin is that fastens the mast to the base plate? Ours wiggled loose on the mooring last year and I am having a hard time finding a replacement.

Why don't you measure the hole size & length that you need? Buy a rod of that length & diameter taper one end & drill 2 holes for the pins. Probably less work than you had looking for a replacement, or am I crazy?

Need some info on the NA 23, I just purchased one that been sitting for 10 years on the trailer. I see the keel winch but have no idea where it attaches to the boat at. Also see the sink and stove is in the walk area in the inside and does this attach and does anyone have plans or prints on the galley. I needing a lot of info on this boat

Hi all,
Well the centerboard failed to come back up and then the cable broke at the crank as I was cranking it up. It is a 1980 Sprite 23 model and I don't know anything about fixing one. What do I need to do.
