Cyprus marina choices

I will be passing Cyprus on the way to Israel from Turkey. It is logical to stop there to break up the passage. When I checked the mooring rates for Limassol marina in Southern Cyprus I was shocked at the price....113Ä ($145). Are there cheaper options? Is North Cyprus (Turkish) cheaper?

From what I can tell there is very little reliable anchoring around Cyprus. I haven't checked all the marinas yet and am hoping someone can give me some suggestions. Otherwise I think I'll just keep on sailing.

Thanks....

Re: Cyprus marina choices

For the record, the marina prices and the entrance fee convinced me Cyrus was not worth it. We ended up going straight to Herzliya Marina, the largest in Israel.

We instead docked right outside of the Ritz Carlton in a high-end district, convenient to everything, for a fraction of the price of a night in Limassol Marina in Cyprus. I don't get it.

Be careful out there!
