Can u sail/motor up to Yardley Pa?

Hi guys, I know, "Noob" Question. But I have been looking all over and even flat out wrote this thread title into google and I get a bunch of non descript answers. Next year when I head out east I plan to stay with a friend in Yardley for a few weeks while I go off to look at boats. I jsut want to know If I am going to be able to motor/sail up the delaware to get up to yardley after I find a boat..

Thanks.

P.S I'm thinking maybe no? And it will be a small boat, likely 25' to 28'

Motor boat? Sailboat? There's a few marinas in Bordentown, but I haven't seen masts there. There's a marina in Riverside with sailboats..I've sailed there...
There's plenty of powerboats that particpate in the Shad tournaments at lambertville..
There's a boat launch in yardley.

There are more than a few obstacles to sailing that far north I would guess. depth....dams, scudders falls...bridges..I don't know the heights.?

I'd call one of the local marinas like Riverside Marina..and ask a local.

Here's a chart from Phili to Trenton...Chart 12314

PB, it's a resounding "No" Height of tide is at Trenton Falls, It's a ledge that defines the tidal from the fresh water river. Some very gutsy Bass boaters zoom up and down there but they must know where the rocks are. It's a great canoe trip river all the way from New York on down to Yardley. Lots of very well used and nice campsites are along the river also. Most all of the Delaware is shallow enough to walk across, although the current makes it almost impossible. There are deeper sections. One is between New Hope and Washington crossing..another above the wing dams at Lumberville. to French Town, The Yardley access is just below Scudders Falls. Trenton Marine is the last real marina on the Tidal part. KatManDo is boater friendly I understand. The shipping channel is maintained from Trenton to the Ocean.

I've sailed up to Borden Town. it's a nice river but you have to use the flow of tide to really enjoy it. There are lots of things to do also so all is not lost above Phila, like some people beleive. Tuesday evenings there is racing between Burlington and Bristol.

You can sail/motor sail to the Neshaminy State Park Marina at Croyden PA then public transit to Yardley/Morrisville. Where will you be looking at boats?

The Trenton Marina may be an option and closer to Yardley, but I have have not been there so no first hand information.
