Roller furling on a P30
Can anyone help me out here? Have a roller furling but not quite sure how to run the sheets for it. Someone told me I need some type of triple block at the bottom, but just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe someone can send me pictures of one that is set up correctly. Thanks.

Are you talking about your jib or at the mast? I have a roller furling jib and my sheets run back to cheek blocks and then to the winches. Can you take a photo of your current setup?

Everything is apart and mast is down. I know where the sheet from the furler goes, but not sure about sheet from the halyard and the 3 blocks on the bottom of the furler. Looks like something is missing, mabe another block? Boat is scheduled to launch on Wed.

Re: Roller furling on a P30
What is confusing me is that every line you mention you are calling a "sheet".

There is a line called the halyard which pulls the sail up to the top of the mast in the furler extrusion.
There is a furler control line which controls the spool of the furler and hence the furling or unfurling of the sail.
Then there are the sheets which you use when sailing; one to port side, the other to stbd. The other two lines are not "sheets".

The furler control line is usually routed back to the cockpit via blocks attached near the toe rail or on stanchion bases.

I have no good photos to help you and could not find diagrams at popular RF seller's websites (Harken, Furlex etc.).

I'm with CalebD, could you be more specific with which lines you are taking about. Also, what type of furler do you have? This makes a difference. For example, I have an old school CDI furler with an internal halyard, so my original jib halyard is no being used. A little more info about your setup would be helpful.

Thanks for replying, I was looking at it today and figured out where everything should go. Guess I panicked, it was actually pretty easy. Sorry about the line-sheet bad.

No harm, no foul.
Glad you figured it out.
