pearson 30 standing rigging size??
does anyone that has a pearson 30 know the original wire size used for the forestay, backstay, uppers, and lowers. i forgot to measure the size before i left the bahamas and i am going to replace all the standing rigging now that hurricane season is over. also the length required would be handy to know if that info is available. thanks for any and all info that you might have on this project.

abaco, bahamas/satellite beach, fl

I'll tell you what I can since you didn't get any other responses yet, but you should confirm with a rigger before you commit any money.

I believe the forestay, backstay and both uppers are 1/4". The lowers are a size smaller. Best guess is 5/32", but I don't have access to the boat right now to confirm.

I do not know the lengths.

Not much of an answer, but it's a start.

I did my mental math wrong. The lowers are 3/8" or 7/32". Definitely bigger than 5/32". Sorry about that.

FWIW, I do NOT know the source for this, but it was in my files.
( I have NOT measured anything recently - been playing with wires.)

Standing rigging:
headstay: 1/8 x xxx
backstay: 1/4 x 40
upper shroud: 1/4"x 37

fwd lower shroud: 7/32
aft lower shroud: 7/32

7/16x3/8 turnbuckles
1/2x7/16 turnbuckles

Hope this helps.
