raw water intake strainer

I need to install a raw water strainer for my A4 on my P30. I've looked at what is available at Defender -- the traditional ones are brass, but there is what looks to be a perfectly fine plastic one for a third of the cost. Has anyone had any experience with the plastic one? Does it hold up as well as the heavier duty brass?

just use bushings or reducers for the proper pipe size.

Hope this helps! yes.. they are expensive.
