Coaming caps/wood

I am the new owner of a P-30 and one project I have is to remove the teak and refinish it. I have the teak coaming caps and I wonder what else there might be secureing them other than the winches, cleats etc. Thanks for your help.

Just refinished all teak on deck. Found it easier to tape surrounding fiberglass. Cleaned teak with deck cleaner, sanded, stained and varnished. Looks fantastic now. Did remove cleats and winches.

I have an Endeavour 32 and have undertaken a program of Keeping up with the Joneses as regards my teak. The problem is of course, that the Joneses are all retired, and have time for this folderol.

I fear that my coaming tops are much like the teak uprights that hold the drop boards in place. They were screwed in place, but also fastened with what could only have been 5200. The grip of the adhesive was so strong that removing the uprights tore the gelcoat right off the glass. Something else to repair.

I am going to refinish the coaming tops in place.
