Re: Nanaimo - Princess Louisa Inlet in early July

I'm in Pender tonight and shopped at the IGA. On the way back from a lovely trip to PLI.

Re: Nanaimo - Princess Louisa Inlet in early July

Two things which could prove helpful:

1) Locals report old logging cables etc. in Anderson Bay and recommend an anchor trip line and float when anchoring just in case you snag an artifact.

2) Another sketchy but possible anchorage in Jervis is on the south side of Deserted Bay near the drying point shown on the charts. Rocky bottom and we used a small stern anchor to keep from swinging overnight. We were reasonably protected from inflows (which were strong in our case) but outflows would put you on a lee shore. Conveniently close to wait out Malibu but should be considered as a Plan B bailout rather than a destination.
