Holding in Davis bay

Does anyone have experience with anchoring in Davis Bay on the Sunshine Coast? And if there is a Dingy dock of any sort attached to the pier?
We have an annual function at the restaurant on the water there and it is a $100.00 cab ride to either Secret Cove or Gibsons.
I realize it is wide open, but if the weather is calm and holding good it may be worth a try.

Never done it, but it looks like a decent shelving beach, and as you know in settled weather you can anchor anywhere overnight as a rule. I don't believe there's a good dinghy drop spot other than the beach.

There is the Selma Park breakwater just NW of Davis bay that may have some possibilities, closer to Sechelt proper.
