I dropped the anchor in 65 ft and 240 ft of chain....the wind that nite gusted from the NW putting us into the area toward the lagoon S of its entry. I think the sand shoal in front of the lagoon mouth extends much further than Navionics or my chart indicates.
Oh well...after a few fresh cod tacos and a bottle of red wine my wife has forgiven me.
If you do clip something hard in the area , you can go alongside the Gov't dock there to check (unless you drive a finkeel). I've dried out there for annual bottom paint when weather suits.
Eder -- Just curious which charts you were using with Navionics -- NOAA charts, Navionics charts, or the sonar charts?
