When did they take out the linear moorage at Blake Island ?
I had a great time gunkholing on the east coast of Bainbridge Island last weekend and headed over to Blake Island Marine State Park on Sunday afternoon.
I was surprised to find that the nifty linear moorage that I'd tied up to years ago was gone, replaced by ten ordinary mooring floats stretched out the length of the island's east side.
I'd mostly been avoiding the most crowded State Parks for the past few years (probably 8 years since I moored on the west side of Blake) and I'm just curious; how far out of touch am I ?
Has the linear moorage been gone for a decade, or shorter, or what ? Every guidebook I have refers to it, and even the Washington State Parks website refers to it. Heck, it's even visible on Google Earth.
(or did I somehow sail directly past the linear moorage twice in broad daylight ?)
Anyone here a Blake Island regular ?
