Foul Weather Bluff Race: Oct 4th

Marty brought this up in another thread but thought it should have its own entity here.

Link: CYCE Foulweather Bluff Race OCT 4th

Rules: General Rules (see page 13 on) pdf

Entry Form: http://www.cycedmonds.org/Pages/FWB_Entry_Form.htm

We'll be there - arriving on Friday evening for some of you sailnetters I never get a chance to see lately...Disregard the "2006" on the Link posted, and the "2009" on General Rules...they apparently clipped and pasted and didn't edit the years but the dates are accurate.

The CYCE web site is in some major need of updating etc. Like a lot of smaller YC's, the person in charge of/designing current site is not always prompt.

The 09 rules were my doing.

Should be a fun race, last yr was a real blast, ie 25-35 knot winds!

The race is in just over a week...

Come on up and race with your fellow Sailnetters!

Personally, I'm looking forward to watching the big boys pass me!

I'll take video.

We are ready for it - well if we get out of CSR by then (and it will).. Thanks Marty for the contact - he's got my rating all certified. Thankfully, I included the old PHRF cert as I had it all screwed up ..

See you folks there next Sat - just try not to blow past me to terribly fast.

Jody,

Are you bringing HG up friday? If so, will talk to Sheryl, maybe we SN'rs can get together for dinner at Arnies, Anthony's upstairs or down at some time. I believe Sheryl is also scheduled to do welcome duties with another member of the club too. David any thoughts on this?

Along with for others, the FWB part of the ECYC website is somewhat better linked/fixed etc for info. Atleast the 06 info for starting etc is now linking to 08 info!

That I will be arriving Friday, Marty. And that sounds like a plan. What say you sailnet people? I'll probably leave around 3 if possible and be there around 7:30 or so...at the latest - but caveat Dana's scheduling and getting out of CSR...however..8:30ish would be a good time I think...

Sounds like fun... I'll check with the Admiral

A complication is that I will be in Connecticut all next week and am not sure what will await me when I return..

Sounds good, lets play this by ear, or seat of the pants or some such thing!

Sheryl mentioned that wil 6 or more of us, a reservation might be a good thing. On the other hand, if we need to play by ear, the Beach Cafe in the lower Anthonies bldg might be the best option then. As they are a bt easier to move tables etc. We do not have a problem doing the reservations etc,.

The Admiral and I will be attending.. Thanks for the offer for setting up reservations. Either way is fine with me.

Either Arnies, or Anthony's or somewhere else is fine with us.
