Boat? We don't need no stinkin' boat!

So we're sitting by the campfire at Hope Island Friday night when the ranger comes in with his blue light flashing. He hollers over to the folks at the next campfire "did you see someone land on shore twenty minutes ago off a log raft?"

"Nope, we haven't seen anything like that."

The ranger leaves. About a half hour later a couple of young marines come walking through the campground from the woods carrying rucksacks. The camper next door asks them "you didn't happen to get here on a log raft by any chance?" They said they did. Guess they wanted to go camping and they didn't have a boat to get to Hope Island, so they made one. I went looking for their boat the next morning. I went by it the first time and missed it, because I guess I was looking for something a little more substantial. When I did spot it later, it was because I saw the parachute cord tied off to a limb. I guess they didn't want it to float away. This is their mode of transportation:

Ah to be young and carefree again.
Faster, jackdale and larrytwo like this.

It's a damn multi. I would be impressed if it had been a mono raft.
