Anyone do a soundproofing kit on a PSC?

Thought it may be nice when motoring for hours to have less engine noise.
Anyone do one of those soundproofing kits?

Did it work well?
Anything u might reccomend?

thanks !!

I did on my 37. It had no insulation at all when I got it, I added one of the available soundproofing kits (got it at West Marine) and it certainly made a difference. It's still noisy but much better than it was.

Here's the kit I used.

I did my Kaufman 47 engine room with Sound Down sound proofing paint then bought the tiles from Sailor Solutions and used some sound aluminum tape off Amazon. The tiles were easy to cut and stick on. Beats the foam and tack options..

PSC installed insulation in the engine compartment of Crazy Fish. It was about 1 inch thick with a white vinyl-like exterior surface. It began to crumble away a number of years ago.

All but about 1 square foot has been removed and its on the list to be removed.

Its been replaced with an aluminum backed insulation and aluminum tape. Its held up well so far.
