I had to change both bearings in one of my two Ampair Pacific 100. It was sending strong shivers down the boat's spine in more than 10 knts. The front one came out in a breeze but the back one was a bear to get out. Stephen, a tech support guy at Jack Rabbit was very helpful with a couple of good advices.

Best wind units? Customer Support? Mounting?

Thinking of putting a wind generator on a 37? Suggestions, brands, pole solutions?

Fourwinds and Kiss get good reviews in the SSCA equipment ratings. Whatever you get...get BIG blades...not a lot of little ones. You might also check the practical sailor ratings from last summer.

Good news! Brought my Ampair to Triton Marine in Beaufort NC in May 08-They rpld the rotor not the bearings and it is now working just fine. They even argued with the factory about the price of the rotor and got them to reduce the cost.Triton is a fine co. to do business with.
