I've got her stored indoors at the yard north of Chicago redoing the brightwork.

Previous owner let it go and then used some Cetol over the poorly prepped surface making it look worse (IMHO). So I've joined the ranks of the Varnish-istas... but don't want to start another Cetol vs. Epifanes thread here.

Other projects? Plenty I'm thinking about, but realistically, we need to get some more time on her first. The only exception to that being items I consider safety related... like the lack of a boarding ladder... but I should start another thread about that.

I'm with you about boarding ladders. They are a must. Have you ever noticed how many sailors that have permanently mounted boarding ladders keep them tied up with line so that they can't fall open? As I wrestle for my life after falling overbaord that is the second worse thing that as I look up that I would want to see. The first is the boat merrily sailing away on autopilot.

Thanks for the update Ted...I like it a lot...I see some Tayana there...Some Valiant there...a bit of Gozzard. And getting rid of the double ender look is smart I think. With a sailaway price in the mid-400's it won't be for everyone but at least there's another fine boat choice for bluewater now.

I do not like the swept aft spreaders. Been there done that. It limits how far the boom may extend outboard due to main sail chaff on a following sea.
