I should have said commericially viable. What I meant by commercially available is that the paint offered by the Awlgrip group of Akzo Nobel is a product that is produced by a reputable, stable company that sells in both the wholesale and retail markets, and offers a small business like Pacific Seacraft a sales structure for that is attractive in the price point for the quantities that they would be buying.

That has been my experience from them in previous shipyards I have worked for.

Most of the PSC masts and booms are painted with Awlgrip egg-shell white.

John,

You're correct. The Awlgrip eggshell white matched up very nicely. It's a little shinier since its not oxidized (yet), but other than that the color matched perfectly.

It looks a lot better than the yellow strontium chromate primer!
