Sealing Rub Rail (StrakE) to Prevent Water Stains

I have been using SIKENS on the exterior teak but have noticed that water is seeping between the hull and Rub Strake causing water staining. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to seal between the 2, short of removing the the entire rail and rebedding?
