IKE vs. Crealock 37: Shibumi

Our 1977 Crealock 37 sits in the crosshairs of advancing IKE.....didn't think my very first post would be a plea for prayers, potions, or chants, but any good luck charms would be appreciated, just now!!

Ellen,

Very sorry to hear that. I trust you are not aboard, but have moved inshore to a safe location. These are great boats, but no boat is worth risking your life. Stay safe, and all the best. - John, PSC31 #62

We face it to many times here on the east coast of Florida. A big, heavy mooring and 3 3/4" line plus a chain has kept us from damage so far. wish you the best luck in getting thru.

Thanks! We had no damage to boat or house, but many in our marina and neighborhood did not fare so well. Hope we never have to endure another!

Glad to hear it!

We were in Houston a week after Ike came through (a trip planned MONTHS before we knew anything about Ike). Wow! It was crazy there!
