Alternator upgrade on PSC37 with 5432

Has anyone put a bigger alternator on the Universal M40/5432 engine? I was thinking in the 100A range (small frame).
There are alternators that would fit, but I'm worried that the drive belt is too thin. The Balmar site recommends a minimum of 1/2 inch.
Upgrading to a 1/2 belt would require changing the pulleys on the crankshaft and the water pump. Anyone done this or know of a source for the parts?

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,
Several years ago I did install a 100amp Balmar on my 5432 and I used the smaller belt .It worked but did slip and made a lot of belt dust.I eventually repowered with a Beta and ordered the new engine with dual pulleys for 120amp Balmar.
