Storage on PSC 31

I would like to organize the storage above / behind the settees better. At the moment it is used as bookshelf and an area to toss everything, with a lot of wasted space and clutter. Newer models have a couple of cabinets fore and aft, and a smaller bookshelf in between, which seems like a better use of space.
Has anybody done any modification to that space that works ?

The cabinets are optional, so #83 opted out, I like the way the
factory does it and you might want to use it. Do you have the
cabinets on both sides of the V-berth, you could use them as
templates.
