What size packing and what type did you use on your rudder shaft?
Thanks,

Karl, I'm embarrassed to say, I don't remember. I can't get down in that hole so I had the yard do it and I don't remember what we settled.

Karl,

Edson makes the stuffing box. You can actually buy the 3/8 packing specifically made for the box on their website.

The rudder shaft gland on our 1990 model 34 took 5/16" packing. After re-packing, no more leaking when motoring or in a seaway.
