I am using a full size spinaker which came with the boat, made for previous owner by Owen Sails. Using it as a cruising chute with pole downhaul lead under the bow roller works OK for me as bow roller is well forward of the forestay. I was planning to buy an Assymetric but the spinaker works so well I am going to be "scottish" and not spend the cash yet

Our anchor roller is the forward most thing on the boat. We have a small loop of metal built into the top of the anchor roller. It is forward of the forestay and a great place to attach the asym's tack.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Brad

This is exactly what we did and to date I have never had a problem being able to muscle it in if needed. If the wind is too strong for my muscle then I suspect stuffing it might be in order anyway. I like the simplicity and lack of clutter on deck!
