johnharch is on a distinguished road
Anka, I am in Washington State, and I would also recommend the rendezvous.

Roger and Amy, I have an AIS receiver and computers and software. I also have radar. A water maker would certainly be nice, but it leads to a lot of other projects like solar power and a refrigeration upgrade. I don't have lines lead back to the cockpit and I'm not convinced I could make it workable. A sat phone, well maybe if I had any money left after the other projects. Please feel free to go ahead and be preachy.

At any rate, I'm getting ready to head north into Canada again for the summer, so I won't be heading south this year and I'll be another year older next year. The reality is, it will probably never happen.

John
