Raymarine Mark 2 wheel pilot slippage

Hi, one last issue for now (I hope). The clutch lever used to engage the Ray. Mark 2 wheel pilot slips out of it's on position while steering. I talked to a tech at Ray. and he told me to adjust the knob to port of the clutch lever. Didn't work. I resorted to tying it down, but would appreciate any suggestions, warnings, etc.

Thanks
Karl

The cam needs to be adjusted or replaced. Check out the article on page 37 - Autohelm Repair.

Also, check

I took mine apart for maintenance and replaced the belt with one I got on ebay mentioned in that post.

Steve, thanks. Great article, too. My wheel works fine if I tie the lever down. But I guess you're saying the lever comes up because the belt is binding. Right?
