PSC actual Displacements / Drafts

I have a PSC 34 and I'm curious what its actual weight is. The Travellift our marina uses does not have a scale though, so I'd be interested in hearing if other owners knew the actual weight of their own PSC 34s. If you've had your PSC 34's weight measured, can you please post its weight along with how it was loaded at the time (e.g., half water / fuel, moderate stores)?

While we're at it, please feel free to post measured weights for any of the PSCs, in case of general interest.

On a related matter, the advertised draft of the PSC 34 with full keel is 4'10", however from measuring the height of the scum line while on the hard, my actual draft appears to be almost 5'6" (moderately loaded). I'd also be interested in hearing about actual drafts for any of the PSC models.

I have a 31. My water stripe is partially in the water. When I first bought my boat I inquired about this and apparently it's common so that many users sand off and paint a new stripe.

Actual vs stated draft, etc.

Our PSC 31 is stated at 4'10". However the marine surveyor when we purchased in 2007 said he thought it was about 5'2" actual. We just returned from a nine-week cruise to the Florida Keys and fully loaded with water, fuel, food, beer, jugs on deck, etc I'm sure we were 2" lower such that draft was about 5'4". You could clearly feel the difference in boat handling fully loaded vs. empty, but after all she's just a little boat with a lot of stuff aboard for that cruise. Even fully loaded we had no issues with her in the Atlantic Ocean in 20 knots and a confused sea although there's a lot of motion.

Back in her slip and dry she's now floating about 3 " higher.

I know this thread was started for a PSC 34 but the 31 is similar. My boat is still on a cradle in a storage hanger and I measured with a laser plumb bob from the bottom of the factory boot stripe to the bottom of the keel is 5' 3". My boat is a few inches into the boot stripe which gives me about 5 1/2 foot draft. This is in freshwater.

Hmmm, this my 31, in brackish water, notice the boot strip is about level with the attachment of the bobstay, where yours is well below:

My recollection is it drops an inch for every 800lbs of added weight.
Full tanks alone would be a 1000.
Add 2 people, dingy&engine, tools, food, etc
Yea, I can see you +2400lbs, easy.

BTW; regarding keys, and speaking of draft, did you have any trouble with depths
or did you stay outside on the Hawk channel?

We navigated mostly in the Hawk Channel, but once went from Long Key to Marathon in Florida Bay. Did not touch but it was close.

Did go aground entering Anglefish Creek on a low low tide but was able to power off.

I hadn't thought about the affect of fresh vs. brackish vs. salt water on draft, but I should have. Thanks for the posting. (Information on any PSC model is very welcome in this thread ). My 34 is in fresh water also at the moment.
