ports

i have have a pc 37 1991 237. i have the port rubber seals they were on the boat when i got it. the ports are brass rectangle . do i need a sealant (what type) on the rubber. or will the gasket seal the window in the frame . any removal help would also be helpful.

My PS 34 has holes in some of its port screens. Does anyone know where to find replacements? My ports are rectangular (ie 1992 design).

We use the bronze screens from Danicic. They work better than the plastic. Still, I wish PSC would have put a flange so the screens would seal better. There's always a little gap around the edges.

Thanks - I'm checking on the Danicic screens. Bronze shouldn't sag as much as the plastic. I agree about the gap around the edges but even here in Maine where mosquitos are our state bird, the gap doesn't seem a problem.
