Looking for a ride on a 31

Greetings. I'm seriously in the market for a Pacific Seacraft 31 but I've never sailed one. I learned the hard way that a sea trial is not a good substitute for a test sail, so I would be very grateful if a PSC 31 owner in the Chesapeake would take pity on me and let me join them for a sail. I'll gladly provide appropriate beverages as well as eternal gratitude.

Try a PM to Bernd Jung. He bought Asylum from me last year and keeps it up there.

I'm afraid that I'm not allowed to send a PM until I've made a certain number of posts here.

Can you describe how you mean, "you learned the hard way that a sea trial is not a good substitute for a test sail".

I'm also researching PS 31's and 34's, and would love a ride if someone would offer it up. Anywhere in the Jersey shore, Delaware bay, or top of the Chesapeake. I can go most anytime and with short notice if you are looking for a low experience (on larger boats) crew.

I bought a boat after a sea trial in which I was concerned about the way the boat sailed. A friend assured me that the sails were set wrong so I went ahead and closed. I still didn't like the way the boat sailed even with the sails set correctly. A sea trial usually does not give you enough time to get a good feel for a boat.

No one has offered a ride as yet, alas.

Thanks for the reply. That makes perfect sense. Hey, do you mind answering a rather useless question? Is dorade pronounced with a long "a" or a short "a". Sorry, just building up posts, and this has been bothering me.
